stretching of the foreskin
Stretching of the foreskin is the application of tissue expansion through stretching the foreskin of the penis in order to help with phimosis and developmentally non-retractile foreskin. It is an alternative to surgical methods such as circumcision and preputioplasty. It is sometimes combined with topical steroids. Its advantages lie in being effective, cheap, and safe, while preserving the protective, erogenous foreskin. It has been shown to yield excellent results. The technique was first reported by Dunn in 1989, when he published a report of a World War II experience on a naval vessel.
